MyMusingsSangSpeak - Save me from the Dangerous Spit-Arrows

Oh my fellow citizens
What good spittizens you are
Yeah Yeah OOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Here a spit, There a spit
Everywhere spit spit.............

That’s the rhyme that keeps ringing in my mind at all times when I leave my house and go in the outside world. It’s such a sorry sight to see spitters galore, spitting away to glory all over the countryside. It’s yucky and just can’t stand to see this sight. But, you have to bear it all. You have to save yourself from all these pichkaris (spit-arrows) when you are riding a two wheeler. Somebody on the two wheeler who is ahead of you might just spit and you have to keep changing sides accordingly. There are people spitting from the bus windows. You need to have to the appropriate gear and armour like jacket, helmet etc. to save yourself from these hazards. I remember having been spat on while going for my job once and how humiliated and insulted I have felt, I can’t describe. I could’ve literally beaten up the person black blue, the one who had done it. Oh, but, it is no use getting violent. How can we get some civic sense in these people’s heads and develop their brains for better sanitation and hygiene??????????????????????? This problem is so rampant all over. You see the building premises, staircases, government offices, parks and all, smattered with pan, tobacco and gutkha pichkaris. People have tried all sorts of things like sticking God’s pictures and all in the corners where people generally tend to spit. However, it proves to be of little help. Even the spittoons are not used properly.

God, I can only pray that may some good sense prevail over the spitters.............................
Till then, plz somebody help me find my way thru this spitty problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what an idea radhika..fight fire with fire na...u know what, i am really hoping u wuld become a neta one day..just so that i could bear witness to the kind of policies u wuld b imlplementing..nd btw did u knw that Obama is a pol.sci graduate nd that he was born on aug 4th!!..u hav quite a strong push factor there!..

nd abt the post, guess this is one aspect that indians have to learn to live with .its like when God sprinkled flakes of civic sense on the earth, much too less fell on our dear country..nd indians have sort of become comfortably numb when it comes to issues like civic sense, corruption and other social issues..

we know its a sad situation but since there isnt much we can do about it,we do the next best thing, live with it!!

...even if they come up with a spitting ban kinda thing it wuld eventually go up in smoke like what literally happened to the smokin ban.. we are a country with too many people who are suffering from far too many civic sense casualities..

the authorities have a million othr things to attend to rather than keep a lookout for those who r faggin away or spittin all over..

the sad part is that the sickening habit isnt restricted by socio-economic boundaries.. i have seen streaks of red spittle spewn out of rear windows's of BMW's and Audi's..sad..even money stands helpless in the face of vile ettiquetes..

i really hope that lot of people( especially those sick spitting maniacs) read this post and wish it hammers some sense into thier hardened skulls and makes them think twice before they missile the next round of vicious pichkaris!!..

well until then aunty, like you mentioned, we'll have to step out of our houses as if we r going into a warzone, replete with armour and shields!!..

really nice post..keep writing..
